Why your 10,000 steps count

Family violence is hidden, but happening across New Zealand.

Children are present at 80% of reported incidences in the home. Even just witnessing violence can have a traumatic impact on children, affecting their development.

Footsteps to Feeling Safe is a nine week programme which helps children to rebuild their self–esteem so they can feel safe and face the future with confidence.

It’s important that you know the difference you’re making. So while you are taking steps, we’ll share stories with you about the children you’re helping.
